Staff

We are a team of nine paid staff and a number of volunteers.

If any positions become available – paid or voluntary – we will advertise them below. Paid posts are also advertised in the local and regional press.

Jon Rigby, Chief Officer

Jon is responsible for the external strategic direction of CVS, making management decisions within policies agreed by the trustees. This involves working at a board level within the LSP, working with other Chief Officers of CVSs throughout Lancashire and representing the voluntary sector on various partnerships. He also has line management responsibility for some staff.

Bill Livesey, Deputy Chief Officer

Bill is responsible for the internal management of CVS systems, including financial systems, policies and practice. He line manages some staff and is responsible for project development. He also keeps a watching brief on external strategic influences.

June Ellis, Financial Officer

June maintains the financial records & prepares payroll for CVS, and prepares management reports for Trustee meetings. She also provides similar services for other Charities, as we develop our ‘chargeable services’.

Jane Attfield, Voluntary Sector Development Worker

Hannah Bland, Voluntary Sector Development Worker

Jane and Hannah respond to requests for support from VCFS organisations and provide consultancy to individual organisations on key issues such as funding, development, business planning, governance etc. They also support new and smaller organisations that address local need. This is achieved by working with groups on a one to one basis and delivering group training. Hannah is responsible for the development of the wider training programme, and Jane is responsible for bringing VCFS organisations together through the Lancaster VCFS Forum. Both Hannah and Jane represent the sector on thematic groups of the Local Strategic Partnership.

Kevin Goodall, Information & Publications Officer

Kevin collates information from across the sector and distributes it to our members via the monthly email bulletins and quarterly print publications. He is also responsible for the Lancaster District CVS website and the production of information sheets, leaflets and booklets.

Penny Darby, Funding Administrator

Penny administers grant applications for the local fund The Galbraith Trust as well as the Lancaster District LSP fund, Community Grants, which make small grants to community and voluntary groups.

Joan Houghton, Cleaner
