Networking

Lancaster District CVS works to ensure organisations are represented in appropriate forums and partnerships at a local and county level. For example, the Lancaster District Local Strategic Partnership and the Lancashire Voluntary Community and Faith Sector Consortium.

We support the development of a range of local forums. For example, The Lancaster District VCFS Forum, and the Lancaster, Morecambe and District Social Enterprise Hub.

There are other voluntary forums that meet together in the district to represent the interests of different groups in the community.

For further details about any of these forums or partnership meetings, including meeting times and venues, please contact Jane Attfield or Jane Dutton at CVS.

For other inter-agency networks see links.

Voluntary Sector Forum

Lancaster District Voluntary Community & Faith Sector (VCFS) Forum aims to:
• Give the sector a strong voice and identity in the district
• Celebrate the work of the sector
• Provide a means for sharing, information and ideas
• Provide a means by which opinions and experience from within the sector can inform strategic planning in the district.

Meetings: the Forum has events every quarter.

Forum Membership: membership is open to any voluntary, community or faith sector organisation in the District who wishes to attend.

Further information: for further information please contact Jane Attfield, Forum Development Worker, at Lancaster District CVS; 01524 555900 Ext 27; janeattfield@lancastercvs.org.uk.

Morecambe Inter-Agency Forum (MIG)

MIG is an informal gathering of representatives (paid and unpaid) from voluntary and statutory organisations in Morecambe who deliver services to the community. It provides an informal network open to all organisations and agencies working in the community sector, so it is a great forum for information sharing and offers an opportunity to develop joint initiatives.

MIG Sessions are held every two months at different locations in Morecambe. Lunch and informal networking takes place from 12.00 mid-day. Tea and coffee are provided, just bring your own sandwiches! For dates and details contact Jane Attfield at CVS. (Link to contact page).
