Community Learning Network
Workers: Sally Laver, Debra Hughes
‘C.L.N. aims to give people from Lancaster, Morecambe
& district the opportunity to get together, work together
and share skills, knowledge and experience by supporting each
other through new and exciting training opportunities. We
aim to involve families and people of all ages in projects
and fundraising activities that link and improve communities
and build global links, for the benefit of all, taking into
account each and everybody’s needs, without prejudice
to ethnic origin, culture, religion, gender , sexuality or
disability’
(From the new Constitution drafted by the CLN Committee June
2006).
2005/6 saw the Community Learning Network concentrating on
extending the network into Morecambe and developing CLN as
an independent group. The CLN team also continued its cross-communities
work, bringing people together from different areas in courses
and residentials.
Upcoming courses being planned from October include a Newsletter
course First Aid, First Steps into Childcare and D.I.Y. We
also have a Performing Arts group running up until Christmas,
which has places available. All courses are put together in
partnership with other training providers across the district.
If you or anyone else you know may be interested in any of
our courses please contact Sally and Debra

Learning Promoters
The Community Learning Network is built around people who
encourage others to take part in learning activities for the
benefit of their community as a whole. The success of CLN
is due to the commitment and enthusiasm of these Learning
Promoters. If you are interested in finding out more about
being a learning promoter and the Community Learning Network,
please contact Sally and Debra
at CVS on 01524 555900 ext. 22/23. |
