The Friendship Centre

The Friendship Centre is based at Lancaster Baptist Church, Nelson Street. Access to the Baptist Church is through the Robert Street entrance (see map link below).

The Friendship Centre is a drop-in venue for people aged 55 years and over. It provides a welcoming and friendly place for older people to meet, relax and chat. There is always a volunteer to be of assistance.

The centre is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
from 10 am – 2 pm. Admission is £1:00 which includes tea/coffee and biscuits. It provides varying activities of interest, including:

• Computer classes with Broadband facility. Students from Lancaster University offer support for our learners.
• Line dancing & exercise classes – both run by professional instructors
• Sequence dancing
• Art & craft group
• Watercolour painting
• Talks of interest
• Trips (eg theatre and scenic)
• Table games
