Lancashire County Council Volunteer Service

Lancashire County Council currently has over 400 registered volunteers who provide companionship and befriending to socially isolated adults in their local community. Volunteer within the fields of: Learning Disabilities, Sensory Impairment, Older People, Supporting Carers, Physical Disability and Mental Health.

v is a new youth volunteering charity which has been set up to inspire a new generation of young volunteers by developing volunteering opportunities for young people; running a volunteering opportunities database; distributing certificates of achievement (v50 & vImpact) and offering free training courses.

Although there is no 'Volunteer Centre' (ie under the Volunteering Lancashire brand) in the Lancaster area, the Volunteering Lancashire site will direct you towards Volunteer Centres and volunteering opportunities in the Lancashire area.
